Laid on a strong foundation, our unit was officially inaugurated through the vision and leadership of R. Sampanthan MP and K. Thurairetnasingham MP, who laid the foundation stone for this initiative. One of our most innovative projects, the Seed Ball Initiative, reflects our commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly technology. Through this project, we integrate science and environmental responsibility, creating a greener tomorrow with technology driven solutions. Housewarming Ceremony of Our Technology Unit
The opening of the Technology Unit at T/Orr’s Hill Vivekananda College was marked by a heartfelt and traditional housewarming ceremony, deeply rooted in Tamil cultural values. The event symbolized not just the beginning of an academic journey, but also the spiritual and cultural foundation of our unit. With the aroma of incense, the lighting of the Kuthu Vilakku (traditional oil lamp), and the recitation of blessings and prayers, the ceremony embraced the rich heritage of our community. Traditional music, offerings, and rituals were performed with great devotion, seeking prosperity, wisdom, and positive energy for the future of our students and staff. This celebration was a beautiful reminder that while we grow in technology and innovation, we remain grounded in our cultural roots and respect for tradition.
